Been meaning to log this session for a while. What a hoot!
My brother-in-law and I got hold of a blokart and took it down to the Waimakariri River mouth for a spin. When we got there the wind was about 20-25 knots, and being virgin blokarters we didn't know any better. So we naively rigged up and got on with it.
It took some high speed trial and error to work out what would keep you upright, and what would slam you over. The wind direction made us head down the beach on a broad reach, so you were going from zero to warp speed in a couple of seconds. Aaaargh!
We eventually got the hang of it though and were pulling off 180 spins and stuff by the end of it. Cool.
The video says it all really!
