Wind and waves have been awesome here for days and days. Two more really fun days Friday and Saturday, nicely powered 5.0 wind for me and head- to logo-high waves at Uppers that have been setting up pretty nice – good enough at times to be getting 6+ turns in on a nice clean wave face.
If there’s a downside to all this it’s that everyone who’s here and getting some is getting physically tired from all this wave sailing. Uppers hasn’t been that crowded the last few days. I’ve stopped by Hookipa a few times in the last few days and there’s barely been anyone out. I stopped by yesterday afternoon after getting my fill at Uppers. Two guys out, KP and Ricardo Campello. It was a little bit light and the 10 man surfer rule was invoked after about a half an hour. I still managed to get some shots though.
