Picked up Windboy and headed to his favourite spot Forestry. It looked head high and....shit really - over head high sets but messy and lumpy - but that never deters Windboy. I thought I'd faff about and watch him get smashed...which he did! I did turn up to the waters edge but Windboy wasn't keen to go out again so suggested we head south. We ended up checking out Daniels Reef to see what that was like...and it was like a little piece of reef break paradise! It was head high and delivering left and rights...but there were about 20 surfers in the line up so we didn't reckon we'd be too welcome out there. I had to drag Windboy away before he went out there and did a 'SUP outreach programme' which might have turned...ugly!
Had a look at Ti Point to see if there were any waves around there but no joy.
So we pitched up at Omaha south end which looked shit too. Checked out the bar at the north end at Omaha and it was looking a good solid shoulder high but a gusty N wind was blowing side-shore...hmmmmm.
Went out for an hour on the SUP and scored a few waves but there was a bit of wind blowing up the faces and I had my Kona 10'6 waveboard and a 5.6 pre-rigged. Loopy went out on his SUP sail thingy and when he started to get some rides it was time for me to bust out the Kona and go wavesailing...
