Southerly change came through just before 11:00am. Loads of whitecaps and wind so time for a session!
Wind was southerly around 20kn or perhaps just below. Went out on the 9m blade trigger and twintip. Nicely powered in general. Had a great fun session except for 2 total screw ups: 1. crashed the kite after a jump and it rolled through the lines. Had to fly the kite in tangled up, reset lines. Meanwhile, a well-meaning kiter was trying to fetch my board, and crashed his kite in the waves, tangling his own kite. oops! 2. Had another stack and the front bladder deflated. Fortunately it was only the valve popping out. Flew the kite in as it deflated, went and got the pump, pumped up, and out again!
Had a few attempts at jumping. Landed on my back almost every time. I seem to have a tendency to go under this kite when jumping, which caused screw up no 1.
At the end of the session the weather got more overcast and there was some rain. The wind was much more up and down, with good power on the gusts, but then becoming underpowered when it dropped off.
Would give the session 4 stars if I didn't have to come in twice during the session to reset the kite!
