New years @ Paturau 09
Windsurfing road trip over to Paturau on the northern west coast of the south island. Scored a nice fully powered session on the 4.7 & 89L wave board on New years eve in some nice head to nearly logo swell.
Despite feeling a little worse for wear the next morning scored another session on the 4.7 tho was windier and should have rigged the 4.2. The swell had dropped to a fun waist to head high.
Paturau has been getting a lot of wind this season. Seems to be the case during an el-nino weather pattern, lots of SW wind around the west coast of the south island. I know where Ill be heading if Im back in Nelson next xmas!
