General Information
The Wharewaka Point Reserve is good place to access Lake Taupo from if you are into sailing, kayaking or fishing from the shore.
There is plenty of grassed area to rig up on as well as toilets and BBQ's. The best sailing here is during SW conditions, but can also be good in anything but a SE.
In late summer the water temp can get up to 20, but a good wet suit is needed during the winter.
