Information about Brick Bay, what's done there and who does it
Speed, Racing, Just Cruising, Bump n Jump, Grovel/Swim
Great spot for S, SSW, SW even E. Big walk on low tide but on incoming after a good session not far to grass. Awesome view, great reaches across Kawau Bay to Algies Bay, Waimana Point, Mullet Point or Kawau Island. Flat water with small ramps for bump and jump. Great place to get more confident with deep water starts, jibing and speed runs. Very safe and locals have always got their eyes on the bay. SW wind cleaner and less gusty than Omaha Bay.
One other important piece of info - Brick Bay also has clean toilets and changing room.
Also..... the rigging area is sheltered from the W/SW wind (as soon as you hit the water you hit the wind). And there is a really nice grass area with trees and rope swing, also tide pools. So great place to bring the whole family while you windsurf.
