Information about IJmuiden - Noord Holland, what's done there and who does it
Waves, Bump n Jump, Speed, Racing, Freestyle
With NW and N, IJmuiden is the place to be for dutch wavesurfing. With swell from the North, which is frequent with N and NW winds, the harbourentrance produces great lines up to logo-height making waveriding possible like it was meant to be! IJmuiden might also work with SE winds, as one of the only places on the Dutch shore.
Parking just behind the dunes at a large parking (about 2 euro's an hour). As it is a topspot with NW and N winds it can be very crowded. Respecting the rules for wavesurfing should avoid irritations but with so many wind and kitesurfers on the water you have to be careful. Maybe a billboard with surfrules should help.
