Not feeling very well I just wanted to try out my new Quad!! :)
The wind was very gusty (again) and I was in doubt of rigging the 5,2 or the 4,7..after a little chat where Ronald and Bas said the wind was getting stronger and the 5,0 getting heavier.. I decided 4,7..
First run on the Quad...after about 30 meter there came a smile on my face and it didn't get away!!! WHAT A GREAT BOARD!!!!
On the straight line very loose feeling, bit skaty//like a little spin-out all the time is strange, but also funny..The board runs up-wind very easy.. And the acceleration is great...on a count of 3 you are planing...and the thing just want to go and go and never stop!!
The bottom turns where a bit different, the board stimulates you to ride more on the front leg...my timing I have to work on...the thing only stopped planing because the lake of my technique ;)
Then the jumping..takes of real easy...great..
The wind increased after about 45 minutes..flattened the sail more and no problem with the board either...even in the end with 15-18 m/s and 4,7 overpowerd the board is real easy. Nice lines in the shorebreak now and then, but as I said, my timing was a bit off...have been riding more the swell then a nice steep part...but it will come..I am sure!
Great board nice day!!! (my cough is worse and also the green stuff in my head and out-off my nose...but thats to bad HA HA)
