Windsurfing

Best suited to Southerly through to Westerly winds, launch from either the boat ramp at the old Takapuna Boating Club or the concrete ramp on the new grassy area. Nice place to go if there are too many Kites down at Shoal Bay as the wind can be a bit fluky for them with the high cliffs so close to the launch area.

Sailable from about 1. 5hrs after low tide but watch out for shallow spots, oysters and the slippery ramp.
