SUP club racing had a poor turnout but there were 4 of the hardcore ready to race. The wind was a NNE and choppy so we paddled around North Head to the Devonport Yacht Club and back to Cheltenham. I had another epic race and was first to the yacht club and had an epic battle back up wind with Louie. We took different lines and ended up in a sprint to the finish and I smoked him by about 10 meters! The thing is that nobody has beaten him in 4 years of SUP club racing!!! So the last race victory wasn't a fluke. This time last year I was coming last…RESULT. Combination of fitness, technique and the 14' x 26" DC!?
Rehydrated with craft beer in the club rooms as per.
(The crew are now grumbling that because I have a 14 footer I need a 2:30min handicap!?…pussies)
