Perfect conditions for a fang down the harbour on the SUP. Hooked up with Hans and his mate and we launched off Te Atatu boat club with a bunch of other SUPers who turned up to take advantage of the conditions. The wind was 20-25 knots+ WNW-W and gusty so ideal angle to fang down to Westhaven. I was on the DC 14/26" and had a great run down the harbour. Scored some 50m glides fully planing which was awesome. Hans was flying on the SIC V2 and was a dot in the distance. I didn't go overboard and didn't pearl the nose which was good as it was getting choppy in places. I can see the benefit of having a dedicated downwind board now...
