Cheltenham delivered again.
I get there a little early, nobody in the beach, wind was light but enough to have a go. Until I was pumping the 12m North Dice one guy show up in the beach. Was only we 2 for maybe 15 minutes when other people starting kiting. The wind pickup a little and was perfect, not too strong not too light.
Was the second time I kiting the 12m North Dice, what a kite, go upwind very easy, very stable, turn very easy, looks like it is flying in a rail. One characteristic I am not used is the power in the transitions, a few times I turned it a little to fast and I get air born, I think this is because my old 12m Airush One was old and didn't have too much power. I am very very happy with this kite.
The only thing I didn't like is the new 2016 North bar, it has a metal pipe in the middle of the front lines to allow one line slide (the one line system depower), the problem is the back left line got twisted in this metal pipe, happened when I was launching the first time in Shakespeare and happened again when the kite was in the water after I felt. It's not a big problem because the bar still working fine, the kite fly a bit strange but I don't think is a danger situation, but is something I need to address.
Good news, I did my first toe-side + transition, I have tried toe-side a few times but never was a success, either I was pulled by the kite and fall or I sunk. Yesterday I did it, I ride toe-side for a while and in the end I decided to go to the transition and all was good. My technique was not great but I did it. :-) My wife filmed it and I will upload it soon.
The end of the day my legs, back, shoulders was so sore but I was so happy. Looking forward for more days like that.
