I get there early, no wind. Pump the 12m Dice, waiting because the forecast show the wind get strong. A guy was struggling with a 18m, waiting a little more. Cloe try with 12m and was more or less, the wind start to pick up, and I decided is time to have a go.
Again I have some trouble to start, I need to have some space to get speed and try to go upwind a bit, but on my right one guy was learning and have his kite in 12 almost all the time, on my left some kids playing in the water, this means I didn't have much space to start, after a few tries I decided walk to the right side to clean the guy learning, off course as I walk to the right he manage to kite a bit and stop a few meter on my front, keep walking until I can have some space.
Was good, the wind was not strong, but I could kite well for about 30 minutes, was very choppy but ok. After 30 minutes more or less the wind start to pick up, get strong and strong. I was full depower and I only was able to ride going upwind, if I try to release a little the pressure the kite start to move to the power zone and I need to put it higher, but this make me be very unstable in the choppy water. After more or less 50 minutes riding I decided to go back and pump my new 9m Dice.
Off course the thing didn't went that well, one time I was going a little downwind, kite almost in 12, I was almost vertical on the board and trying to keep my balance, a gusty make me fly I lost the board and land maybe 10 meter downwind of the board. I was for about 20 minutes trying to go up upwind body-draging , was impossible. I am not good body-dragging but was really hard, the kite was pulling me off the water and I was not getting any closer to the board. When I lost the sight of the board I decide go to the beach and comeback swimming to try find the board.
Body-dragging downwind was very fun, I never have done body-drag downwind in a strong wind. Some times all my body was off the water, very fun.
After land my kite I run to the beach and I saw a guy with my board came to the beach, he save my day.
