Another day in paradise, South Head is always good. The forecast was W 20kts gusty 26kts, high tide 15:00hrs, I meet Jordan there around 11:30hrs, tide was really low but we decided start early and see how it's go. I pumped the Dice 9 meters, Jordan pumped the Bandit 11 meters. From the start to the end we have good wind, maybe the last 40 minutes was too much for my 9, I was able to kite full depowered but sometimes was too much.
We went direct to the right side where the wind is more clean, no much water down there but enough to ride, was not good when I felt because I hit the sand direct.
I don't know what happen but I didn't do any toeside or toeside transition, all try finished bad. I believe I was overthinking the manoeuvre or maybe because was too much wind and very shallow I was not 100% committed to do it.
The good news, I did some load and pop, riding normal was much easier than riding for the not natural side, but I did some good as well. Maybe I jump 50cm in average, I know is not much but I am getting there. Some I could see the track in the water stop and start again maybe with 2 meter interval.
Now I need to practice more and try to get more air, I need to be more comfortable jumping.
I did some good transition, but some was very "more or less" I still diving the kite too slow and the kite go to the window edge, is not a big deal because with strong wind I didn't sunk but is not a fluid transition.
Almost in the end I decided the wind start to be too strong, sand was blowing hard and I started to get tired, we move to kite near the place we launched, there the wind was very gusty, a little light, we went back but the wind was very strong, I couldn't stand with the kite it was pulling me hard but sailing was ok.
