The forecast was showing some wind from SW between 12pm and 2pm, Shoal Bay was not a option because the low tide will be 2:30pm. Jordan invite me to go to Shakespeare, why not!
I get there around 11:30 and pumped the 12 meters Dice, Jordan was in the right side of the beach and I was in the left where people normally pump the kites.
We meet in the beach and his wife launch the kite for me, I don't remember the last time some one launch the kite for me, it is much easier than drift self launch, you can see all the lines, check everything, no stick on the line, simple and efficient.
The other thing was the twin-tip, the wind was not strong, but was enough to ride the twin-tip, I'm riding the surfboard all the time because the light wind, today I can go back to the twin-tip
The first hour was pretty good, I could go upwind, play a bit in the small waves, but after a hour more or less, the wind started to get lighter and lighter, we were more time waiting than riding and I decided go home.
Was fun, I tried to jump but every time I tried to load the kite lost power and I couldn't pop. I also did a faceplant when was water-starting, and others mistakes. I think these light wind are not doing good for my skills. :-)
