Muriwai - Dice 9 meters, twin-tip Jaime 136cm with: Fabio.

The storm was at the end, I have been at Muriwai earlier and the wind was much stronger, but still a good strength. After talk with some guys the 9 meters was the correct option, I new I could be a little overpowered sometimes but the wind forecast is that it will easy. Fabio start a bit earlier than me but he stop his session to help me launch, I could have done drifting-launch but because was a bit gusty and strong I didn't want to take the risk.

The session was very good but I am not 100% comfortable at Muriwai still, but I am getting there. I don't know why but Muriwai for no reason is a bit of scare to me. Doesn't make sense because it's very flat between the waves and you have a huge place to kitesurf.

The session had some good moments, the first one was I was riding starboard, not my preferable side, and I try to pass to a wave that was breaking but I didn't jump high enough, not because the wave was huge was only because I don't know how to jump on starboard, the lip hit my board and simple removed it from my feet, was like someone have hold the board and I couldn't keep it on my feet. Was not a major problem I stopped and grab the board and keep going. The other on I was surfing a small wave and the cut was closing and I tried to do a small snap and the twin-tip came harder in my direction, I was not expecting that and almost hit my face. Later on the day I started ride to the south side and I was coming back on port side I saw a beautiful flat spot, I started to ride in this place and suddenly my board stopped and I lost my balance and felt in the sand, lost control of the kite and the kite hit hard the sand, again was not major I stand-up, walk a bit and relaunch the kite, but I didn't realize it was so shallow until the board stuck. My session didn't finished well too, the windy had dropped a lot I was standing at the shallow holding my board as many of the others kiters, I knew the wind will come back strong and I was prepared to go fast upwind as soon the wind pick up a bit, to have some space between me and the beach and to hold the wind better sailing, but when the wind increase a bit I and all the others kiters started to kite and I was going starboard and other guy was coming port (with preference) I need to easy my upwind to cross under his path but the wind hit hard exact this time and I started to "slide" to the shallow again, I stopped because I didn't want fall as I have done a half hour ago, but hold the wind at the sand was not easy, each time the gust hit me I slide a bit down until I decided to safety-release, of course after safety-release was easy catch the kite and walk to a safe place.

On point is important to notice was when I was organizing my bar and lines I notice that on of the lines was looking stretched, in reality it was not stretched but the North click-bar have on ball that is fixed to the red line by a allen screw and the screw was loose and the ball moved on the line.

At the end was a very nice session, I didn't try to jump because was gust, I had a lot of fun, some crash, hope have more session in Muriwai.
