  Cheltenham - Dice 9 meters, twin-tip Jaime 136cm.

I get there after work, wind was pretty good, some gusts but not major, tide was going out, not much kiters around, maybe 5 or 6.

My idea was try to improve my jumps with a better technique. I watched a video were the guys talk about send the kite with the bar depowered, or to be more precise send the kite and only pull the bar when the kite is close to 12 hours, they say this help the kite fly fast to the 12 hours.

I start trying to do this, but is not easy. I didn't realise I was holding my weight with my arms and not with the harness when I was loading and I was pulling the bar a bit before I pop. It's not easy pay attention in all this details at the same time, but after while I start to send the kite better and I could felt the difference in the height I was getting, maybe double of the height when I was doing right. Let's say, doing wrong between 1,5 and 2 meters, doing right 3 and 3.5 meters. I really don't have idea how high I am going, sometimes looks very high and I believe is more than 3 meters.

I was practising two other trick, jump to switch to toe side and back-roll. Both I was doing when I transition in each side, I realise transition is a waste of opportunity, at that time my tacks was more or less like that:

 - port tack: jump trying send the kite right and land with some speed, close to the transition trying back-roll.

 - starboard tack: get some upwind, some times try small jumps only to practice the load and pop and doing transition toe-side.

The transition toe-side I was doing jumping and not sliding the board, I did all right, sometimes I was carving before send the kite and was ugly, but sometimes I did very well.

I did 2 back-roll very well, not perfect because I could have more speed but I landed well, sometimes I forgot to redirect the kite and the kite crash hard in the water.

I did some very good jumps, I am always care about others kiters close to me, I don't jump if I'm alone in a huge space, this time I was going upwind and have one guy really far downwind, I thought is impossible I jump this distance and went for it. I get some good air and I landed with speed going downwind, this is not "my normal", the lines was with no tension until I start to carving, line get pressure, kite in correct position, I crossed the other kiter maybe 10 meter upwind of him, after I crossed him and new all was ok, a big smile, I am getting better on it, but for a few seconds I was scare. :-)
