Tired of the Kanaha crowds, I had decided to try Sugar Cove as I hadn't sailed there since last Fall. The beach restoration there has made a big improvement to the beach. Nice sandy launch now. Shorebreak was pretty gnarly and the wind was super light inside. Looking upwind, Spartan's was looking really nice, but I just didn't have the juice to make it up there. The 5.3 was barely enough to maintain where I was and get back to the launch.
Sugar Cove can be a super fun spot to sail, but too light on this day.
