Continued to pig out on the conditions again today.

Here's a typical day in Lancelin:

7:00am - get up when the kids arc up, have brekky and load all the beach gear into the 4WD.

8:30am - grab the paper at the shop, drive onto the back beach, park up and unload all the beach gear. Put up beach umbrella. Kids in the water with the boogie boards within 2 seconds of hitting the sand. Mums, Dads and kids all out catching waves, sliding down the dunes on boogie boards, and generally chilling out.

11:00am - seabreeze line forms on the horizon, then hits the beach within 10 mins. Sand blowing everywhere, umbrellas uprooted and people scurry for cover.

11:30am - grab fresh bread from the bakery on the way home, get home and wash down on the lawn under the hose. Kids have ferocious water fight on lawn. Hang beach gear on line to dry.

11:35am - beach gear on line dry

12:00pm - lazy lunch.

2:00pm - start to think about what sail size to rig and what beach to sail at.

3:00pm - sail at South Passage or Main Break. 4.7 or 5.2. waist to logo waves, port tack. 1 - 10 sailors in the break. Boardies and rashie. No sharks visible.

6:00pm - beers at home on the lawn or in the beer garden at the pub overlooking the beach. Kids have revenge water fight.

7:30pm - BBQ, kids in bed, sit out on the deck talking rubbish.

10:00pm - crash and get ready to do it all again tomorrow.

Today was no different.

JG came up from Perth on his way to Greenhead for the wave comp. We scored a couple of hours at Main Break in pretty small swell. At the Lancelin comp a couple of weeks ago, JG had won a $3000 voucher for a new RRD board and had brought up the 76 Wave Thruster to demo. Shame there weren't bigger waves for him to really test it out on. Still, we managed to find quite a few waist high waves to jump and ride.

Finally met Thomas (Lanky) who had been over here for a few weeks travelling up and down the coast enjoying the conditions. He seemed to be pretty happy with how it's all been going. I can relate to that.

Did some 'lifestyle' filming on the lawn at Main Break after the session - should add nicely into the final production.

3 thumbs up!
