~25+ knots of wind when I got down to Brighton, a couple guys out, mainly on 5's and 7m kites, with the odd larger guy on a 9m.
Bully turned up, we loaded up the car and headed to swanbourne - still not certain we'd get out given the strength (the day before we setup at swanbourne, launched a packed up again because of 30-35knots plus winds).
Swanbourne looked sweet with a few kiters out towards cottesloe. Headed down to the beach, solid 25 knots blowing, more than do-able.
The run was phenominal. Had about 20cm of de-power to start, but eased it off as we progresed down the coast. The waves were awesome with about 2m of swell coming through, and nil surfers because of the strong wind.
The Abrolhos trip has really killed all of the nerves I had about charging into breaking waves, I've got a good persiective on things now!
Managed to get right in the sweet spot of a couple decent set waves, even manged to do a few nice little floaters which was cool.
When we got into brigthon I had to havea decent wave in so hada few tacks in and out. Ended up nailing a head height one that came through - wave of the day!
Great end to the best downwinder of the season.
