A Nor'wester was predicted to come rolling through starting late Wednesday evening, and AJ and I planned an early dawn patrol to get out first thing and catch some wave-sailing on Seven Mile Beach - a rare occurance to be sure!
Fetched AJ on the way who was looking a little bleary-eyed from the night before, but soon got into the swing of things when he realized the conditions.
We checked out Royal Palms first, but the heavy shorebreak and swimming lines put us off. Then up to public beach by Calico Jacks and decided that was the spot. Rigged the 5.7m and headed out. The wind was coming NNW with the swell W making it almost side-shore. Had an hour of great wave-sailing fun and had to call it a day just after 8am to go to work :-(.
It seemed the wind was dying anyway, so we got the best of it!
