On the water: ~12:15 Off the water: ~ 15:00 wind: 8-11m/s @ 30-5 deg temp: 11°C Watertemp: 7°C Waveheight: 0,9 m Who's there: Steps, Maartje en een heleboel kiters Tide:low rising Gear: Starboard Evo 91L en Ezzy 5.8
At my big relief I saw the wind buling up so I called my buddy Steps we had to move!! On the way to the spot the wind even was 11-14 m/s for a moment, but on arrival it was back to 10-12 m/s still lowering down a bit.
I took my Ezzy 5,8 because the wind was just enough and my 5,2 is in repair
The day went a bit like floating around and now and then the wind picked up and then it was enough to play around
Experience of the Starboard Evo 91L: - It feels bigger then it is - Planes quickly - Planes long - Jibing is easy - short turns are easy (if you want) and the ting just keeps on planing - Waveriding is a party, it just wants to!! (even got some off-the-lipps!!) - sailing "against the wind" (how do you call "scherp varen" in english?) was a bit more on the rail (pressure on the front foot) then I was used to.. - made one good jump, easy too
Overall such a nice board!! I think I am going to have so much fun with this!
Cant wait to have a good wind and my 5,2 with nice wave to do more waveriding and jumps :)
Steps was wearing the headcam again an sail just behind me some times, so as soon as I got the movie will post some shots!
