Today was pretty windy for Cayman and it showed on the race course with most people going for a swim. I suppose we had about 12-20 knots in the end.
Raph was out so that was great. I sailed Radial as I am training with Chris at the moment. Also it is really challenging when you are racing full rigs, plus it's great training for my future events.
So we had three races all a bit of fun with a triangle course. Wind was gusty and shifty so really had to keep on the lifted tack and not get in a covered position.
In the end Raph bet me in all the races, a couple were really close. I think I finished pretty much second online in all. But it was close and Jon is getting so much better, Chris is also going a lot better all the time.
So I was really happy considering the lack of sail area. I was still deadly fast down the reaches and the waves were awesome for all the downwind legs.
Already looking forward to next weekend!
Some more cycling this week so the legs last longer! nt
