Sam has never made it all the way to the top of Makara peak before, so a big effort for him, and he was fully stoked to get there. Trouble was, Getting back down again, i have done ridgeline so many times that it just feels pretty easy, so I had forgotten that it might just be a little bit challenging for a ten year old, especially after two weeks rain...doh, anyway, he made it down without hurting himself toooo much, and by the time we got down to ridgeline extension he was having a good time.
Ended up muddy and happy.
